ELIGIBILITY
REQUIREMENTS AND RELEASES
1) You must be between 16 and 25 years of age as of March 1, 2006.
2) You may only participate in a maximum of two (2) auditions.
3) Semifinalists or finalists in any previous season of the Program may not
audition.
4) You must be a legal United States resident.
5) A completed and signed short entry form must be submitted at the time
of your audition. If you are under 18 years of age, the entry form must be
signed by a parent or legal guardian.
6) You must not have any connection with the production, administration,
judging, or distribution of the Program such that, in the sole discretion
of Total Living Network (“Producer”), your participation in the
Program could create the appearance of impropriety.
7) Each contestant must enter as an individual act.
8) If chosen as a Semi-Finalist, you will need to be available to come to
TLN Studios, located in Aurora, IL, and potentially other locations, for
the show production, currently scheduled an average of three (3) days a week
from about February 17, 2006 through about June 11, 2006. You may request
a schedule of tentative rehearsal and performance dates, but this schedule
is subject to change.
9) If you are currently contractually obligated to a record label you are
not eligible to audition or compete.
10) A Finalist may not be party to a recording agreement, merchandising agreement,
exclusive touring agreement or any talent representation agreement with any
third party from the date of the contestant’s application through a
period of six (6) months after the initial broadcast of the last episode
of the series. During this period, finalists are expected to participate
in all events associated with the Program and its promotion at the discretion
of the Producer.
11) The Grand Prize winner will win a recording contract for a single (one
song) with Asone Records. They will also be signed to representation with
Asone Sound Music Group (“Asone”) for a period of up to one (1)
year after the initial broadcast of the last episode of the series. The Producer
and/or Asone may add additional prizes and reserves the right to assign a
new record label and/or representation agent at its sole discretion.
12) Use or possession or weapons, alcohol or non-prescription controlled
substances by contestants will not be permitted at any time during the audition
process and Program competition. Any such use or possession, or any act,
or any conduct of contestants that is immoral or is likely to disparage the
Program in any way shall be grounds for immediate dismissal and forfeiture
of all past and present awards associated with the Program.
13) Finalists are required to (a) arrive by the call time for all rehearsals,
show days and event performances associated with the production and promotion
of the Program; (b) choose song selections for live shows mutually with Music
Director and/or Vocal Coaches, and agree that Music Director holds the final
decision; (c) make song selections for live shows by the deadline assigned
by the Producer and may not change song selections after this deadline; (d)
attend and participate in all group rehearsals and all group appearances
in association with the Program for the entirety of the production of the
Program regardless of whether the Finalist has been voted off the show; (e)
have all wardrobe selections for all live shows and appearances approved
by the Producer; and agree that failure to abide in any of these requirements
is grounds for immediate dismissal and forfeiture of all past and present
awards associated with the Program.
